When arranging
Fill your vase half to two thirds full with lukewarm water, this helps closed buds to start opening. Take care when un-wrapping a hand-tied bouquet as it is delivered in a water bubble to keep the flowers fresh.
Arranging your flowers in cold water should be avoided as this can significantly reduce the longevity of your gift. Do not put flowers in metal or aluminium containers, glass is ideal. Keep your flowers in a cool location, away from draughts, direct heat or sunlight.

Once unwrapped
Your flowers may take up to 24 hours after being placed in water to reach their full potential.
Strip off all excess foliage and leaves below the water level to reduce and harmful bacteria within the water. Bacteria can block the stem and stop the flowers taking up the water |

Trimming
Flowers like their stems trimmed. So, trim them, at an angle with a knife (rather than
scissors) by an inch or so. When trimming stems, always cut at an angle of roughly
45degrees; this increases the surface area allowing your flowers to absorb more water.
If a Rose stars to droop at the head, re-cut the stem, wrap the head in paper to support it upright and plunge 5cms of the stem into boiling water for about 30seconds. Cut the stem again and place in deep cold water for two hours.

Feeding
Every Floral Art Centre order is accompanied by a sachet of cut flower food which will encourage buds to open and help to prolong the life and beauty of your flowers. Top up regularly with water and flower food, removing any fading flowers. Ensure the floristry foam used in arrangements is moist and topped up daily; this helps to prolong the life and vibrancy of your arrangements. |

Sending flowers from Floral Art Centre is a simple and secure process. This information will guide you through the order process step by step.
- Once you've selected an item
Once you've found an item you'd like to purchase, click 'more info' where you will be able to view further information about the product. When proceeding to place an order follow the numbered prompts on-screen:
Delivery Information: Here you will need to tell us who you are sending your gift to including, if known, the postcode of the recipient (for UK deliveries).
Shopping Basket
This page shows a summary of items you've selected - if you would like to add further items to your order, press 'keep shopping'. We will ask you to complete the recipients' contact details, together with the card message, delivery date and any special instructions to make the delivery.
If you are ordering an item for funeral delivery, please specify the required time of delivery in the Delivery Instructions.
- Payment Details
We require your billing address together with your contact details just in case we need to get in touch with you regarding your order. Please ensure an email address is supplied as this will be used to confirm receipt of your order. Your payment card details together will be required at this stage.
- Order Summary
Before you submit your order, it's important that you review the information you have entered. . .
You will be sent notification by e-mail that your order has been received shortly after reaching the 'Order Confirmation' screen, again this will summarise full details of the order you have submitted - including confirmation of recipient and card message. This will be written in English and sent to the e-mail address you provided within the 'Your Details' section of the order form. We would advise you to print and retain this information.
- Order Confirmation
This will confirm that we have received your order. We would advise you to make a note of your order number(s) and print the order details summarised on this page for future reference.
Methods of payment
Floral Art Centre accepts all major credit and debit cards. However, we do not accept Electron, Duet or B&Q Time Cards.
Guarantee of satisfaction
When you’re buying online you need reassurance of the standard of quality you can expect to receive, that’s why Floral Art Centre ensures all orders are covered by the following guarantee:
Floral Art Centre GUARANTEES that every order delivered will be of GOOD QUALITY in GOOD CONDITION and to the FULL RETAIL VALUE. Delivery will be made on the date specified.
Where sufficient lead time is given, funeral orders will be delivered at the time requested.
Floral Art Centre orders must carry a full and correct address for delivery purposes (note: POSTAL address cannot be assumed adequate for delivery purposes). Any complaint or dissatisfaction should be notified to us at the earliest opportunity.
Special delivery conditions apply to certain locations such ashospitals & hotels where a third party is involved. In these circumstances the signature of the person receiving the order will be accepted as proof of delivery and fulfilment of the order.
Nothing contained in the Guarantee or Conditions affects or will affect the statutory rights of the customer or the recipient in relation to the quality, fitness or description of the goods supplied.
- Product substitution
Many flowers are seasonably available and this may vary depending on region and country. Sometimes, therefore, we may need to substitute one flower variety or plant, or indeed packaging and sundry items, for another. When doing so, we will adhere to the strict substitution guidelines detailed below:
1. Any substitution will be of superb quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. The colour and shape of the chosen product must take priority and no change in size or shape is permissible.
3. The value of the replacement flower or plant will be equal to, or greater than, the original variety.
4. When substitution is made, the utmost care is taken to provide flowers or plants which maintain the overall effect of the gift.
